Some years ago, when the street view on the google map started, i didn't find
any photo of my address, i guessed it koz it was a bit away from the main street,
but last year i found its photo, looks taken last Sep.
Fortunately my home is not at the side of the road and their camera is not so
high so it is not so easy to recognize it, but if your house is at the side
of a road, anyone in the world can see its photo which contains not only your
house but your private things visible outside, which the people walking on the
street usually don't care.
In case of the public buildings such as stores, hospitals, schools etc., it can
be convenient if we can see their photos concretely but i cannot imagine the reason
why they collect the photos of our private houses. for example, i have a cousin
in fukuoka city and i don't know her address in detail, but i know the ward and
the name of the apartment, so when i searched them i got her exact address with
the photo.
Anyway i recommend you to search your address and find its photo there if not yet.
